The Frenchman has been frozen out by Tuchel in recent weeks with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen preferred. And he has done himself no favours with his showing on Saturday, marking a fall from grace considering his status under Lampard. With the Chelsea legend at the helm, Zouma found himself a regular in the starting XI but now he looks set to leave on a permanent basis at the end of the season. The former St-Etienne star is valued at £29m and has attracted attention from the likes of Everton and Leicester in the past. And Owen Hargreaves also believes that the 26-year-old could leave in the transfer window. “I think for Chelsea and for Kurt Zouma, I’m not sure that it’s going to go well for him after what happened today,” the former England international told Premier League Productions after the game. “I don’t think he’s going to play many games going forward after today’s performance.”

Wednesday night sees a big big game in the world of football, as two giants face off for a place in domestic football’s most prestigious competition.

It is the second leg of the semi final tie of Chelsea vs Real Madrid, after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw last week in the first leg.

Chelsea will feel slightly more comfortable of the two teams after getting that all important away goal, but this is a match that could go any way at this stage of the competition, and neither side will be looking to give up.

Real Madrid are boosted by big game player Sergio Ramos returning to the heart of their defence, and that already will make a massive difference for them.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel was asked on the Chelsea website about how he intends to deal with that, and his response was hilarious!

Tuchel said:

“If we play with no striker at all and Ramos has nothing to fight then that can also be a solution. I have not made my mind up yet.

“It’s another challenge because he is the leader of their group and he is the guy to give a lot of solutions to any questions that we will hopefully ask them.

“We will wait and see who is in good shape and good form, what shape we play and where we try to hurt them. I’m not too sure if they will play again with five or go back to four [in defence] so there are many questions but we don’t need the answers now. It’s enough if we have them on Wednesday.”
